John was a loyal and valued charter member (first baritone) of the Queensmen drum and bugle corps http://www.groups.yahoo.com/group/Queensmen , and his birthday (January 10, 1950) coincides with the founding date of the Corps in 1964.
John was universally liked and appreciated.
The Queensmen will never forget his memory. http://www.groups.yahoo.com/group/QueensmenMemorial

I would like to extend my deepest sympathies to all of John’s family.
It has been many years, but I remember John from our years in the Queensmen. When I joined, it was John who 1st worked with me and taught me how to play the baritone horn. We marched side by side through many practices, parades and field shows. He was a great guy.
Sincerely,
Jerry Montemurro
