
Nieves Carbajal, 52, passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2007, in Froedtert Memorial Hospital, in Milwaukee. She was born in Etowah, Arkansas on August 5, 1954, the daughter of the late Cirilo and Ricarda (nee: Martinez) Carbajal Sr.. Nieves had been employed by Kenosha County for over 17 years. She was a member of Cristo Rey Parish and Local #990. She loved dancing, visiting different casinos, sewing and doing arts and crafts with the grandchildren. Her greatest enjoyment came from being with family. Surviving are her children, Grace (Noel) Rivera, Lisa (Jason) Garcia, Daniel Carbajal, and Carolina Ibarra, all of Racine; grandchildren, AnaLisa, Carlos, Angel, Noel, Vanessa, Jason Jr., Jordan and Marisa; brothers and sisters, Juan (Elodia) Carbajal, Crescencio (Maria) Carbajal, Pedro (Ofelia) Carbajal, Paul (Amelia) Carbajal, Ramiro Martinez, Isidro (Lydia) Carbajal, Cuberto (Linda) Carbajal, Santos (Cindy) Carbajal, Tomasa (Jesus) Garcia, Aurora Carbajal, Cirilo (Melody) Carbajal Jr., Maria (Modesto) Oviedo and Jesus (Jodi) Carbajal, brother-in-law Ciriaco Castro, and special and close friend Juan Casillas. Her nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister Sixta Castro and brother and sister-in-law Fernando and Refugia Carbajal, and y her nephews Mario, Daniel, Eric and Zachary Carbajal. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., in the Cristo Rey Parish, 8th St. and College Ave. on Thursday August 9th, with Rev. Ricardo Martin officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Wednesday August 8th from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and in the church on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. The family wished to publicly thank the entire staff of the Surgical I.C. U. of Froedtert Memorial Hospital, especially R.N.s Laurie and Christen for the love and care given Nieves and her family.
