
Racine- Florence Clara (nee: Weber) Greeley, 83, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday afternoon, November 20, 2007. A lifetime resident, Florence was born in Racine on November 22, 1923 to the late Bernhardt and Caroline (nee: Beard) Weber. On April 11, 1942, she was united in marriage with the love of her life, Alan D. Greeley, who preceded her in death on August 22, 1997. Florence was a proud and faithful member of Racine Baptist Temple where she enjoyed spending time with her church family especially during L.I.F.T. – Ladies Inspirational Fellowship Time. During her career, she had been employed by Oster, Manco, Wisconsin Small Motors, and by Western Publishing, from where she retired. Among her interests, Florence received great pleasure from sewing and crafts. Above all, she placed her God and her family as priority one in life. Surviving are her daughters, Carol Barnett of Racine; Suzanne (Jeff Ferdig) Feucht of Portland, OR; and Sharon Cosford of Racine; grandchildren, Lynn Marie (Michael) Rodriguez, Mark (Vickie) Schram, Michele (Robert) Kovac, Michael (Karry) Schram, George (Mary) Schram, Carolyn (Rick) Kirschmann, Robert Greatsinger, Tony Cosford, David Cosford and Sarah Cosford; 13 great-grandchildren, Katie, Jessie, Donnie, Andy, Amber, Sarah, Kassie, Justin, Kevin, Matthew, Alisa, Crystal, Hailey and Mason; great-great-grandchildren, Julieanne Rose, Lilian, Kiersten, Joseph and Caleb; and by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Florence was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held in Racine Baptist Temple, 4835 Taylor Ave., on Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at 11:00 am with Rev. Frank Williams officiating. Visitation will be in the church on Wednesday from 9:30-11:00 am. In accordance with Florence’s wishes, cremation will follow the service. Entombment will take place in Southern WI Veterans Memorial Cemetery on Thursday at 11:00 am. A heartfelt note of thanks to Hospice Alliance, especially Cindy and Heidi; grandchildren, Robert Greatsinger; George and Mary Schram; great-granddaughter, Kassie Pirk; and family friend, Maureen Kowalski for the compassionate care that was so warmly extended. Our family especially recognizes Carol Barnett for the constant care and companionship given to her Mother. Your tireless devotion fulfilled Mom’s last request – to remain in her own home.
