Ray was a wonderful neighbor and a dear friend for over forty years. We will miss him and his caring ways, funny sense of humor and know he will be watching the Cubs and growing his broccoli plants in Heaven.

My heart goes out to the family, I haven’t seen Ray in many years, but at one point I was a part of the family and have always felt that way. Ray had a way of making you smile and forget your problems. He was liked by everyone and I have never heard a negative thing about him, only good.Mert, I know what you are going through as it wasn’t that long ago I, too lost my husband and best friend, just remember ” when a loved one becomes a memory, that memory becames a treasure” Aren’t we lucky to have such wonderful memories of our loved ones. Take care, My prayers are with you and the family.
Love,
Cheryl

Uncle Ray,
I will never forget the summer I spent with you after graduation, especially the going home part, because it was so comical.
I remember watching Packer games with Dad growing up, and always, without fail, the phone ringing at halftime. It was you calling Dad so you could rehash the first half.
There are a lot of things that stick out in my memory, but the things I’ll remember most about you are that you never had an unkind word to say about anyone (even Roscoe, and most of the time he deserved them). I will miss you always!
Love,
“Reet”

You guys have always treated me as family. It is with sad heart that I write this. Ray was like a father to me. We joked and fun when I came over to visit. I will miss him and my thoughts are with you at this time.

Uncle Ray,
I have such good childhood memories of you. You and Aunt Mert were such great examples of love of family, love of god and love of this earth. It brings much peace knowing you are in heaven. Losing mom and dad both in the past year has been difficult, but knowing all my loved ones are together in heaven brings me comfort and I know I have one more angel. Aunt Mert, my prayers are with you. You have such great strength. In the days ahead lean on your loved ones and God and let them take care of you for a while. God Bless you and all your family. Even though We have never met in
person, I feel as if we had known each other for years. I am so sorry for your loss. But the comfort comes knowing he is “Home” and at peace. He will be watching over you and your family. You are loved so much!

Ray will be missed by all. I lived next to Ray and Mert for four years. I will miss the tease of me being a Viking and Sox fan living next to him. He help us out in the winter getting my wife out of the snow first for work and then the neighbors before his and I had to keep his garden on his side of the fence in the summer. He is in a lot better place now and I am sure he is teaseing a non packer / cub fan. I bet he is making a bigger and better more healthier garden up in skys of heaven. My family send out our sympathies to the family.
