
Charlesetta M. Claybrook, 55, was called home by her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 1, 2008, while surrounded by her family and neighbors. She was born in Du Quoin, IL on October 30, 1952. She was a longtime and devoted member of Wayman AME Church. Mrs. Claybrook enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. Her three greatest loves were her God, her family and her church. Surviving are her son Derek (Bernadette) Claybrook of Kenosha; grandchildren, Derek Jr., Derius, Devon and Deryan; sisters and brothers, Dorothy Wilson of Racine, Christine Brown of Freeman Spur, IL, Yvonne Webb of Colp, IL, Betty (Samuel) Clark of Peoria, IL, Percy (Rose) Claybrook of Detroit, MI, Robert Claybrook Sr. of Wilmington, NC, and Ronald (Bessie) Claybrook Sr. of Racine; sisters-in-law Willie Mae Claybrook and Janet Claybrook both or Racine. Her nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, church family and friends further survive her. She was preceded in death by her mother Helen Marie Claybrook, and brothers, Clyde, Charles, Melvin and Joseph Claybrook. Her Homegoing Service will be held in the funeral home on Monday, January 7th, at 12 o’clock noon with Pastor Charlene Mills officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery.
