
Jessye Dell Holewinski, 86, passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2008 at All Saints Hospital. Jessye was born in Walworth County on January 24, 1922, daughter of Claude and Ruth (nee: Button) Williams. Most of her life she had lived in Racine. On September 28, 1951, in Winthrop Harbor, Illinois, she was united in marriage to William Vincent “Blackie” Holewinski. Jessye was a faithful and active member of Pentecost Lutheran Church, where she had taught Sunday School, was a member of the Ruth Circle, and the Altar Guild. Her life revolved around her family whom she loved so much. She always thought of others, and was caring and giving to everyone. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Jessye is survived by her children, Janet (Larry) Luscinski of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Pamela (Ken Wagner) Yunker of Prairie du Sac, Greg (Vicki) Holewinski of Raymond, and Dean (Shelly) Holewinski of Racine; 17 grandchildren, Amy, Jill, James (Lisa), Joey, Todd, Lee, Casey (Lisa), Nathan, Jessica, Jennifer (John), Robert, Melissa, Benjamin, Claire, Dorothy, Rebecca, and Kenneth. 5 great grandchildren, Kaleena, Todd Jr., Henry, William, Catherine, Justin, and Kylie; 2 sisters, Mercedes Warner of Racine, and Beverly (Alvin) Larsen in Arizona; sister-in-law Martha Gleerup in Tennessee; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William; sisters Blanche Petersen, Barbara Holly, Betty Vyvyan, and Doris Ball; brothers Claude Williams, Jr.; Hawley Williams, Dean Gleerup, and Eric Gleerup; and her son-in-law Doug Yunker. Funeral services will be held at Pentecost Lutheran Church, 2213 Coolidge Avenue, on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Milan Babel officiating. Interment will take place at West Lawn Memorial Park at 1:30 p.m. Visitation will be in the church from 10a.m. – 11am. Memorials to Pentecost Lutheran Church have been suggested.
