David was very handy with tools and enjoyed working around the house, as well as working on cars. His favorite was always an Olds 442. David was never without his cowboy boots, or his leather jacket. He always enjoyed spending time with his four legged friend and companion, Felon. He will be dearly missed by his wife, Carrie; mother, Diane, both of Racine; brother and sister in law, James and Roslyn Ballew of Rock Hill, South Carolina; uncle and aunt Wayne and Irene Koontz of Greenfield; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Louis and Judy Vasy; sisters-in-law Debra and Stanley Johnson, and Julie and Michael Hutchinson all of Racine; nephews and nieces, Nathan Ballew, Courtney Johnson, Jordan and Kaitlyn Hutchinson; as well as many other relatives and friends including special friends Eric Kiesler of Burlington, and Mark Kiesler of Racine. He was preceded in death by his infant son, Morgan; grandmother Helen Koontz; uncles Raymond Putzer, and Kenneth Putzer. Visitation will begin in the funeral home at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 19, 2008 followed by a memorial service at 6:30 p.m. with Rev. Kara Baylor officiating. Interment with family and friends will take place Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at West Lawn Memorial Park Special Thanks to his friends Eric and Mark for being with him in his time of need.
