Emma Ann & Amy Lynne Thorn

Sep 14, 2008 – Sep 14, 2008

Racine- Emma Ann and Amy Lynne Thorn, precious infant twin-daughters of Steven and Rebecca (nee: Brewer) Thorn, were born into Eternal Life on Sunday, September 14, 2008 at Wheaton Franciscan – St. Luke’s Health Pavilion. Surviving are their heart-broken parents, Steve and Becky; grandparents, Kim and Don Veltus; Leonard Brewer; and Ric and Connie Thorn; great-grandparents, Richard and Esther Veltus; Robert and Alice Legler; Al and Sandra Sorensen; Paul and Teeny Hodgson; and Doris Thorn; aunts, Lori (Manuel Pedrosa) Brewer and Melissa Veltus; uncle, Michael Thorn; and by many other special relatives and family friends too numerous to mention by name. Emma and Amy were preceded in death by their great-grandma, Barbara Brewer; and great-grandpa, Milton Thorn. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 19, 2008 at 11:00 am in Mount Pleasant Lutheran Church, 1700 S. Green Bay Rd., with Rev. Kara Baylor officiating. Interment will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be in the church on Friday from 10-11 am. In lieu of flowers, memorials to “Diana’s Angels” at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church – who lovingly sew custom fit pre-mature infant clothing for petite little ones in our community. Steve and Becky would like to thank Black Hills Area Decorative Artists for making beautiful keepsake boxes to help them preserve their daughters’ treasured memories. Dear Mom and Dad, We just wanted you to know we made it home. The journey wasn’t an easy one, but it didn’t take long. Everything is so pretty here, so white,so fresh, so new. We wish that you could close your eyes and that you could see it too. Please try not to be sad for us, try to understand. God is taking care of us – We’re in the shelter of His hands. Here there is no sadness, no sorrow and no pain. Here there is no crying and We’ll never hurt again. Here it is so peaceful when all the angels sing. We really have to go for now- we’ve just got to try our wings!
