
Julius E. Kowalski, 88, passed away peacefully, at WFH-All Saints, on Thursday, February 11, 2010. He was born in Kenosha on June 5, 1921 the son of the late Julius and Camille (nee: Skowronski) Kowalski. Mr. Kowalski served his country with the U.S. Army Air Corps. He was an airplane mechanic and traveled around the world during WWII, including India and China. On June 29, 1946, at St. Stanislaus Church, he was united in marriage to the former Dolores Elaine Michalak. He had been employed by Webster Electric for over 35 years, retiring in 1986. Mr. Kowalski was a former member of St. Stanislaus Church, and is presently a member of St. Richard of Chichester Catholic Church, and the Steamfitters Local 601. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening, especially the special geraniums passed down to him by his mother. He had a special adoration for the Blessed Virgin Mary. Surviving are his children, Priscilla (Dick) Bennett, of Atlanta, GA, Mark Kowalski of Racine, Joseph (Cathy) Kowalski, of Columbus, OH, Edward Kowalski, of Pittsburgh, PA, Camille (Peter) White, of Gahanna, OH, and the twins, Connie and Karen Kowalski of Racine; 11 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren, sister, Genevieve Villanova, of Cuyahoga Falls, OH; sisters-in-law, Zosia Kowalski, of Waukegan, IL and Odelle Michalak of Kenosha. His nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends further survive him. In addition to his parents and beloved wife, Mr. Kowalski was preceded in death by his son Jeffrey on May 6, 2007, his brothers, John and Chester Kowalski, sisters, Mary Schlichting and Irene Misinski, and a special brother-in-law, Julius Michalak. A private Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, February 15th in St. Richard of Chichester Catholic Church, with Rev. Ronald J. Gramza officiating. Entombment followed in Holy Cross Cemetery Hwy 32.
