Racine- Lawrence “Larry” Lussier, 55, passed away unexpectedly as the result of a tragic motorcycle accident on Saturday, August 27, 2011.
A lifetime resident. Larry was born in Racine on July 21, 1956 to Lawrence J. and Evelyn (nee: Howe) Lussier. He faithfully served our Country with the United States Navy. On August 1, 1992 he was united in marriage with the love of his life, Carri Ann (nee: Carbajal) Lussier.
Larry was employed as a talented maintenance specialist at Superior Industrial Coating. He was a former member of the High Riders Motorcycle Club. Loving anything and everything about his Harley, he was happiest while on his bike. Some of his other interests included watching television, golfing, fixing anything broken, and spending time in his garage. Above all, Larry loved life and had a special passion for lending a helping hand to others.
Surviving are his loving wife, Carri; twin daughters, Lanay (James Krizan) and Jerilyn Carbajal-Lussier; sons, Robert Anthony Lussier and Jesse Vasquez; grandchildren, James Krizan, Kiley LaPoint, Antonio Lussier, Serene Palumbo and Kehra Krizan (due to be born in a few weeks); father, Lawrence (Nancy) Lussier; sisters, LaNay Voorlas and Twyla (Chris) Khayat; Carri’s parents, Pat and Mark Bingen; Cutberto and Linda Carbajal; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Pete Voorlas, Chris (Danny Krencisz) Cox, Kyle (Colleen) Bingen, Jason Carbajal and Laura (Jason Chernouski) Bingen; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends too numerous to mention by name.
Larry was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Evelyn Lussier.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2011 at 12:00 noon in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home. Military honors will follow. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Saturday from 10 am – 12 noon. Memorials can be directed to Carri Lussier, which may also be deposited at any Chase Bank location.
A heartfelt note of thanks to the first responders at the accident scene and to all the medical staff that did everything in their powers in trying to save Larry’s life.
