
Racine- George Thomas Pawelski, 69, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 following a brief battle with cancer.
George was born in Stevens Point, WI on October 4, 1944 , the youngest of seven children to the late Emil and Catherine (nee: Doyle) Pawelski. After attending William Horlick High School, he went on to faithfully serve our Country with the United States Army in the Vietnam War. On August 13, 1966 he was united in marriage with the love of his life, Diane Terese (nee: Foote) Pawelski, who preceded him in death on January 25, 2012.
George had a successful career as a Professional Touring Pool Player & Instructor. During his lifetime, the Polish Prince was the 3x Midwestern States 14-1 Straight Pool, 2x Midwestern States 9 Ball, 6X Wisconsin Open 14-1 Straight Pool and 7x Wisconsin Open 9 Ball Champion. George also enjoyed playing cards – especially Poker & Cribbage; and an all-around sports fan – especially a golf fanatic. He also had a great passion for animals – mainly for his canine companions “Boo” & “E.J.”.
Surviving are his loving daughters, Daari and Denise Pawelski; grandchildren, Samantha and Maxwell Tussler; devoted companion, Karen; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service celebrating George’s life will be held on Sunday, June 29, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Jones officiating. Military honors will follow. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Sunday from 12 noon – 2 pm. In memory of George, memorials to ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) have been suggested.

Every time I win a pool battle I give thanks to George he is one of my three pool teachers and because of him I can still win today. Thank you George rest in peace you will be remembered for a very very long time
