
Racine – Raymond Siltala, 74, passed away Wednesday February 11, 2015 at the
Clement J Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee. He was born in Iron
Mountain, Michigan on September 16, 1940, the son of the late William and
Hannah (nee: Juntinen) Siltala. Raymond was a 1960 graduate of Jeffers High
School in Painesdale, Michigan and went on to serve in the U.S. Army.
Raymond was employed for many years at Racine Rail Road Products where he
worked as the plant superintendent. Outside of work he had a love for cars
and was affectionately known as the "Car Guy Extroardinaire" and the "Corvair
King of Racine".
Raymond is survived by his children, Rick Siltala of Seattle, Washington and
Kerri (Shaun) Tinholt of Franklin; former spouse, Carol Daly of Racine; four
grandchildren, Stephanie Siltala in Alabama, and Ryker, Reigan, and Brighton
Tinholt of Franklin; one great-grandchild Logan Davis; former
daughter-in-law, Lisa Siltala in Alabama; and sister Ruth Musson of
Rhinelander. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Danielle Siltala.
Visitation will be held in the funeral home on Sunday February 15, 2015 from
10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Military honors and burial will take place at
Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove at later date.
