
Clarence Edward King was born on September 28, 1944 to the late Dewey and Rosie (nee: Pickens) King in Myrtle, MS. He departed this earthly life on July 25, 2016 in Racine, WI Clarence accepted Christ at an early age and joined Pine Bluff Missionary Baptist Church in Myrtle, MS. He moved to Racine after serving in the United States Army. He united with Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church. He was ordained a deacon on October 4, 2015 serving until his health would not allow. Clarence had a good sense of humor and a giving heart. He loved spending time with his family and could be found manning the grill at family gatherings. He enjoyed fishing, junking, and working on cars as well as spending time with his many dear friends. He leaves to cherish his memories a son, Clarence (Diana) King, two grandchildren, SirTavion and Sa’Rya King, one brother, A.B. (Barbara) King, four sisters, Eteria McWilliams, Minister Gladys Ivy, Lillie Graham, Canary (Lonnie) Gardner, special niece and caregiver, Jacqueline (Jack) McWilliams, sister-in-law Christine King and long-time companion Liz Lockridge. He was proceeded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents, parents, Dewey and Rosie King, brothers, Lawrence and Murphy King and sister, Lenora Higgenbottom. A Celebration of his life will be held on Monday, August 1st, at 11:00am, at Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, 2049 Summit Ave. Visitation will be at the church from 10am until the time of service. Pastor John Mosley will be officiating. Interment will take place at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
