
Mary H. Steimle, 95, died in the Golden Living Center in Kenosha on Monday, December 29, 2008. She was born in Racine on December 8, 1913 the daughter of the late Simon and Clementine (nee: Hnilicka) Polansky. On May 30, 1940, she was united in marriage to George A. Steimle who preceded her in death on Sept. 27, 1971. She had been employed by Western Publishing for over 24 years retiring in 1977. She later worked at Dania Hall. Mrs. Steimle was a member of St. John Nepomuk Church and the Christian Mothers. Surviving are her children, Judie Burns of Kenosha, David (Sue) Steimle of Racine; 5 grandchildren, Vicki Preisler of Oconomowoc, Jeff Burns and Craig Burns both of Kenosha, Heather (Patrick) Eisenman and Sarah (Robert) Greening both of Racine; 7 ½ great-grandchildren, Katie, Andrew, Bryan, Cayden, Everett, Isaac, Sebastian, and one to arrive in 2 months; sister Agnes Kaisler, sisters-in-law Rosemary Steimle, Marcella (Chuck) Knotek, and Virginia Steimle all of Racine. She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Tony Polansky, Frank Polansky, Anne Kelsall and Frances Kaisler; as well as; brothers-in-law Eugene, Richard and Edward Steimle. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 3rd at 10:00 a.m. in St. John Nepomuk Church, 1923 Green St.. Visitation will be in the church on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the mass.. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery Hwy 32. The family has suggested memorials to either St. John Nepomuk Church or Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.
