
Leona Antonwitch, 78, passed away at Ridgewood Care Center on Sunday, March 15, 2009. She was born in Chicago, IL on January 11, 1931. Leona had been a resident of Racine since 1949. On November 27, 1954 in St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, here in Racine, she was united in marriage to Thomas Antonwitch who preceded her in death on March 4, 1994. Leona was a longtime member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. Surviving are her sister-in-law Lois Marsolek of Crivitz, nieces and nephews, and several close friends and neighbors. In addition to her beloved Husband Tom, Leona was preceded in by her son Kenneth in 1985 and her mother Lucille Bramham. Private Services were held. Burial was in West Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. William J. Dietzler officiating. A Memorial Mass will be held in St. Monica’s Chapel, 3920 N. Green Bay Rd., on Saturday, March 28th, at 12:00 Noon. So sorry to hear of Lee’s passing. I had talked to her last fall and feel bad that we never made it over to visit. My husband (Dave) has memories of her from when he was little and she was living with them.
