Among his other interests, he enjoyed classic cars, playing pool, bicycling, and music – especially singing and playing the guitar. Above all, he loved and cherished being in the surroundings of his family and close friends. Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law, Christine and Ronald Brandt; adored granddaughter, Hailey Brandt; special friends, Linda Prechtel, Sharyn Prechtel, and Sharman Turek. In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Valerie Prechtel, who died of a brain tumor at the tender age of 2. A memorial service celebrating Wayne’s life will be held in funeral home on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at 7:00 pm with Rev. Emile Burgess officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5-7 pm. Private interment of Wayne’s cremated remains will take place at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery in Muskego. A heartfelt note of thanks to Sharman and Linda for all their compassionate care and support during the past two weeks; and to all our friends and co-workers for the many prayers, phone calls and sincere understanding during this difficult time. May God bless all of you!
