Kenosha – Kathleen Ellen “Mima” Kaul, 59, passed away on June 6, 2009 at St. Catherine’s Hospital. She was born in Kenosha on July 19, 1949, daughter of the late Matthew and Eleanor (nee: Eells) Skender. She was a lifetime Kenosha area resident. On November 1, 1995 she was united in holy matrimony to Stephen Kaul in Honolulu, Hawaii. Kathie’s main joy was her children and grandson. She was totally devoted to her family. Kathie loved to dance, and was an accomplished ballerina in her youth. She enjoyed watching movies and traveling in her later years, and went above and beyond for her family. She was employed at Pizza Hut and the Kenosha Outlet Mall for many years. She chaperoned and volunteered to help at both her children’s and grandson’s school. Most of all Kathie loved being called “Mom”, and “Mima”. She is survived by her devoted husband, Stephen Kaul; her dear children, Jamie (Richard) Hartnell, and Michael Waison; and the apple of her eye, her grandson Jacob Hartnell all of Kenosha. She is further survived by her brothers, Matthew (Barbara) Skender of Kenosha, Michael (Cynthia) Skender of Genoa City; sisters, Patricia (John) Newman of Wausau, Jennifer (Joseph) Metzger of Jacksonville, Florida. Kathie was a very special and loved aunt by all of her many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by many other relatives and friends, including her best friend, Raul Perez. Kathie was also preceded in death by her sister, Mary Skender; brother, Charles Skender; beloved nephew, Joseph “JoJo” Metzger; and mother-in-law, Nettie Kaul. The funeral service for Kathie will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2009. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Following the service, interment will take place at St. George Cemetery. Memorials to the family have been kindly suggested.
