My Heart Is In The Highlands
by Robert Burns
My heart۪s in the Highlands, my heart is not here,
My heart۪s in the Highlands achasing the deer
A-chasing the wild deer, and following the roe;
My heart۪s in the Highlands, wherever I go.
Farewell to the Highlands, farewell to the North
The birth place of Valour, the country of Worth;
Wherever I wander, wherever I rove,
The hills of the Highlands for ever I love.
Farewell to the mountains high cover۪d with snow;
Farewell to the straths and green valleys below;
Farewell to the forrests and wildhanging woods;
Farwell to the torrents and loudpouring floods.
My heart۪s in the Highlands, my heart is not here,
My heart۪s in the Highlands a-chasing the deer
Chasing the wild deer, and following the roe;
My heart۪s in the Highlands, whereever I go.

Dear Hagemann Family –
Please accept our sincere condolences with the passing of Gene. He touched our lives in so many ways – probably in ways he never knew. By sponsoring the first Nu Wood Cabinet softball team years ago, it was a way to have the family members gather every week to watch or participate in a wonderful sporting event. And that legacy lives on 30+ years later. Those were some the best memories I have with my Brother. Thanks for the wonderful memories Gene!
All our love to your family.
