Alfonso Fikes

Racine – Alfonso Fikes, 71, passed away at WFH – All Saints hospital on Saturday, June 19, 2010. He was born in Selma, Alabama on January 29, 1939, the son of Cleveland Sewell and Mary Frances Fikes.

Mr. Fikes lived the majority of his life in Chicago, Illinios, and was employed by the General Battery Company in Lombard.

He is survived by his children, Antoinette Davis of Atlanta, Georgia, Clifton Davis of Chicago, Illinois, LaWanda (Edward) Culley of Racine, and Lenora davis of Hazelcrest, Illinois; 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; his sister, Frankie Howard of Selma, Alabama; and his brother, Otis Martin in New York.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Willie Mae; his son, Alfonso Jr,; and sister, Joyce.

Alfonso’s family will host a Homegoing and Memorial Service at Deliverance Crusader’s Church (1010 St. Patrick Street, Racine) at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 26, 2010.
