
Mrs. Alice H. Slomski, 81, passed away at Woodstock Health and Rehabilitation Center in Kenosha on Tuesday, September 27, 2011.
A lifelong resident of Racine, she was born on April 12, 1930, the daughter of the late John William and Rose Selma (nee: Baersch) Bazal. She graduated from William Horlick High School. On October 4, 1947, Alice married Richard Slomski. He preceded her in death on February 9, 1998.
Mrs. Slomski loved traveling with her family in her earlier years. She especially enjoyed her travels to Missouri on Route 66.
She is survived by her son, Paul Slomski of Racine; son-in-law, Dale Christensen of Racine; daughter-in-law, Marlene (Terry) Roeschen of Burlington; granddaughters, Kim (Ron) Deschler, Sheila (Mike) Canfield, Kim Slomski, Staci (Andy) Gelmi, Randi Slomski; 14 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; dear family members including, Scott Thilleman and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Cheryl Slomski in 1969; son, Marc Slomski in 1974; daughter, Gayle Christensen in 1998; and brothers, John and Duvere Bazal.
Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Monday, October 3, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. for a service remembering and celebrating her life. Her interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. There will be a visitation in the funeral home on Monday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.

I washer daughter Cheryl’s best friend Diane Lambrecht was my maiden name.Alice was like a Second Mom. I wanted to come in Person..but couldn’t find a way. It was very important to me…but couldn’t get there.I knew Gail also..cheryl and I use to babysit for here twin daughter’s.i wanted to see Alice , God Bless her,,hold her hand Thank her for the memories,,,her Fantastic Daughter who wasn’t iin my life long ..but ment the World to me,,for after 24 hrs of talking to her..I lost her also…But I wanted to Thank her for Her and Here Family being in my Lifeand I hope I can even get a pic of Cheryl from Paul for things happened so fast..we went to different school’s and after40 some years..I have no pic of my best friend that I lost….
But I want to thank God for Alice and her Fantastic Family being in my Life..and I sooo Baddd,,wanted to be there in Person….God Bless,,and Paul and the rest of the Familly …I am sooo sorry for your Losss….
