Virginia Biesack

Nov 22, 1919 – Oct 4, 2011

  Mrs. Virginia I. Biesack, 91, passed away at WFH – All Saints on Tuesday, October 4, 2011.

   A lifelong resident of Racine, she was born on November 22, 1919, the daughter of Warren and Clara (nee: DeFreez) Davis.  She graduated from Washington Park High School in 1938 and she attended all of the reunions.  On April 25, 1942 she married Norbert H. Biesack.  He preceded her in death in 1981. 

   She was a proud homemaker that was also honored to work at Hamilton Beach and Oster Manufacturing while her husband served in WWII. 

   Mrs. Biesack belonged to Christ Church United Methodist for over 70 years where she was active in various circles and groups.  She also belonged to the Beacons of Hope and the 55+ Club.  She enjoyed music and playing the organ with the Melody Makers.  She also had fond memories with her involvement in the Cub Scouts when her children were younger. 

   She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Randal and Mary Biesack of Racine; her sister, Genevieve “Midge” Anderson of the LaCrosse area; sister-in-law, Sally Davis of the Milwaukee area; her godchild, Margaret Owen of Middleton, WI; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.    She was also preceded in death by her infant daughter, Diana Lynn; sons, Norbert W. Biesack and James Biesack ; brothers and sisters, Thomas (Katherine) Davis, Emerson Davis, Geraldine (Alex) Lees, Gazeena (George) Morrow and brother-in-law, Russell Anderson.

   Family and friends are invited to meet at Christ Church United Methodist (5109 Washington Ave.) on Monday, October 10, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. for a service celebrating Virginia’s life with Rev. Mark Swanson officiating.  Her interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park.  There will be a visitation in the church on Monday from 12-1 p.m.  Her family has suggested memorials to Christ Church United Methodist or the Salvation Army.

    Dearest Randy and Mary, My heart is aching for your loss. I will miss your mom’s annual letter at Christmas catching me up on the years news. Your loss is painfull in so many ways.     I have wonderful memories visiting Aunt Tootie. She was a great host. I will always tresure the pictures she sent me of her cat, Lucifer, and her vacation in Alaska. Prayers to you all in Wisconsin.
