Thinking of you at this very difficult time. Marilyn and I were in the same confirmation class and were confirmed April 3,1955. We would remind each other how after taking communion for the first time when returning to our pew we got the giggles. She will be missed.

I remember Mrs. Acklam as the pretty lady across the street who sold makeup to my mom. I learned early on the importance of moisturizing from Mrs. Acklam and despite getting older every day, my skin looks pretty good thanks to her example!
I also remember her giving me a postcard back in 1968- it was of Elvis Presley and was advertising his Comeback Special on TV that year. I have been an Elvis fan ever since. Thank you Mrs. Acklam for being such a beautiful, joyful, generous lady!
