
~~A Time to be Born:
Mary Alice (nee: Rison) Moore was born on September 16, 1941 in Grand Lake, Arkansas to the union of the late Ed Rison and Sarah (nee: Curtis) Rison. Mary was the second of four children of whom two preceded her in death; Ed Rison Jr. and Carrie (nee: Rison) Moore.
Mary attended school in Eudora, Arkansas and was a member of the class of 1961. She also attended Sawyer College in Waukegan, Illinois, where she studied to become an Executive Secretary.
Mary confessed Christ at an early age under the leadership of the late Rev. E.D. Handie. After moving to Kenosha, Wisconsin she joined Friendship Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Joseph L. Thomas, where she served faithfully as an usher. Mary moved to Lake Forest, IL. She later met and married Charles L. Moore and to this union two children were born; Carol (nee: Moore) Myers and Barron Moore. Mary worked various jobs; Cherry Electric, Hinds Department Store and Illinois, Citizen National Bank. In May of 1994 Mary moved back to Eudora, Arkansas to help care for her mother. She moved back to Kenosha in August of 2006. Upon her return to Kenosha she united with Solid Rock Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Robert L. Murphy, where she served as a member until her health failed. Mary was known for her vibrant smile, warm spirit, caring heart and comical sayings . She always expressed her strong faith in Christ, love for her family, crossword puzzles, Mary Kay make up and her hair styles.
A Time To Mourn:
Mary gained her wings on October 4, 2014 at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan, Il. She leaves to cherish her loving memories, her children; Mildred (Greg) Jones of Jacksonville, Florida, Carol Myers of Kenosha, WI, Barron (Aleta) Moore and Jacqueline (Adrian) Adams, all of Kenosha, WI, her brother; Willie (Mildred) Murphy of Zion, Illinois, her sister; Mary Rison of Shreveport, Louisiana, uncle; Augustus Cutis of Ferriday, Louisiana, grandchildren whom she loved as her own; Johnathan Vaughn, Quishana (Alfonzo) Gaston, Ella (Marcus) Jones, DeÁrro McKinzie, Quanashia Myers, Itiel King, Jhavere Caston, Chante Moore and Adrian & Adadriana Adams, seven great grandchildren, a host of special family members, one special “Mom”, Willie Odum, special sister; Willie Peebles, childhood friend; Venial Benton, lifelong friends; Ann Bell, J.T. Alexander, Ena Wallace, Rose McClain, Frank Brown and Minister Clyde Scarborough and god sister; Valerie Hall. Mary will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
