Racine – Patsy Joan Boranian, 79, received the promise of eternal life on Saturday, January 31, 2015. She was born in Racine on December 5, 1935, daughter of the late Arnold and Catherine (nee: Wichers) Westerback.
Patsy was united in marriage to the love of her life, Richard Boranian, on February 12, 1955. Richard preceded her in death on October 7, 1993.
Patsy had a passion for life. She gave everything she had when she invested herself into a new project or hobby. Patsy had a deep love for painting and was a photo artist for Charles Studios for a number of years, adding color to photos prior to color film. She also had a talent for sewing. She was a master seamstress and had a side business making and altering clothing. She also loved nature and animals. She and Richard loved taking walks at different nature parks and would just “wander around” until they would seem to be lost. Being a nature lover, Patsy enjoyed gardening and arranging flowers. Patsy and Richard loved to dance! Richard was an instructor for the Arthur Murray dance studios. They were known to cut a rug wherever there was dancing. One of Patsy’s last adventures was taking a hot air balloon ride in July 2014 before her health began to fail. She was a vibrant woman and will be dearly missed by her family.
Patsy leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters, Debbie (David) Resop, of Racine, CynDee (Gene) Kroll, of St. Francis; grandchildren, Stacy Keller, Wendy Keller, Sharra (Gabe) Molina, all of Racine, Scott (Kim) Johnson of Aurora, IL, Dan Johnson of Sturtevant; great-grandchildren, Talon, Khloe, Dylan Stella Marie, Wyatt, and great-grandson on the way; brothers, Robert (Nancy) Westerback, Arnold Westerback, both of Racine; sister, Kathy (Marv) Williams of Crivitz; nieces, nephews, and other relatives too numerous to mention.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 9, 2015, 11:00am, at St. Lucy Catholic Church, 3101 Drexel Avenue, with Rev. Mark R. Jones officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 8, 2015, 2pm until 4pm, at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory, 4600 County Line Road. Visitation will resume at church at 10:00am on Monday until the time of the Mass. Burial will follow the Mass on Monday at Mound Cemetery. The family has suggested memorials to the National Pancreas Foundation.
The Boranian family would like to offer a very special thank you to the entire staff in the ICU at All Saints Hospital in Racine, for all the remarkable care that Patsy received during the time she was there. You provide amazing care to those in need and your kindness will not be forgotten.

Sorry to hear of the passing of your Mom. Thoughts and prayers go out the family. She was near and dear to a lot of us. While growing up I had the pleasure of calling her Mom and of having her touch my life in many ways. Spent a lot of time at their house and Cyndi and Deb and I had wonderful times spent with both their Dad and Mom. Sometimes I think I lived at their house more than my own. She always had a project in the making and the fun and laughter was always a plus, sharing jokes and just being with the fam. She will be truly missed. God has just been given another loving angel. God Speed Enjoy painting the skies with your beauty, love and your laughter and when the sun shines it will remind us of your beautiful smile and the loving times that were shared by all.

Mom, as Dad has welcomed you into the heavens and brought you before our loving Savior, may you dance forever together throughout the heavens and look down on the wonder of God’s creation to see all the glory of what He has given all of us, all the places you would have traveled, you can now see with Dad at your side. Until we see each other again, with Love, CynDee
