
MOUNT PLEASANT – Sue M. Soens, 76, passed away at Manor Care in Kenosha on Friday, June 26, 2015 after a 6 month illness.
She was born in Racine on June 4, 1939 to the late Peter and Dagmar (nee: Jacobsen) Soens. She graduated from St. Catherine’s High School and was a longtime member of St. Richard of Chichester Catholic Church.
Sue is survived by her brothers, Ron (Nora) Soens, Jim (Lynne) Soens both of Racine and by her dear nieces and nephews, Elizabeth (Scott) Wyma, Ron Soens, Linda (P.J.) Litrenta, Eileen (John) Widmar, Jennifer Soens, Matthew (Amy) Soens, David (Gina) Soens, Michael Soens, Rick Soens, Sherri Soens and Christopher (Sheri) Soens. In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, David and Mary Soens.
Family and friends are invited to meet at St. Richard of Chichester Catholic Church (1503 Grand Avenue) on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. for the celebration of Sue’s life and memorial Mass with Rev. Ronald Gramza officiating. There will be a visitation in the church on Thursday from 10-11 a.m. A private interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery Garden Crypts.

My deepest sympathy and prayers to all in the loss of your dearest Sue. I lived on Victory Ave. just a short half block from where she lived on Arthur. I will always remember what a gentle spirit and sweet smile Sue had and I’m sure she is in God’s gentle hands.

I’m sorry to hear about Sue. I knew her from Ponderosa Steak House when My Mom Madeline and Myself would eat there. We would always see her somewhere in Racine. Always smiling Caring – if I was alone she would ask about My Mom. She will be Missed. Thinking of Sues’ Family At This Time. Goodbye Sue.
