
Racine – Pedro Elizondo Carbajal, known to many as “Pete”, received the promise of eternal life on Friday, December 11, 2015. He was born in Kyle, Texas, on September 9, 1935, son of the late Cirilio and Josefa (nee: Elizondo) Carbajal.
Pedro was united in marriage to O’Felia (nee: Mendez) Carbajal, on May 7, 1983, at Bethel Tabernacle in Racine. O’Felia preceded him in death on August 7, 2010.
Pedro proudly and faithfully served his country in the United States Army. He worked on the assembly line for JI Case until his retirement in 2000. Pedro loved to tend to his gardens and his yard in his spare time. He also loved all sports from playing yard games like horseshoes or yard darts to watching his favorite Wisconsin sports teams on TV. Above all, Pedro cherished his family dearly and will be dearly missed by all who loved him.

In addition to his parents and wife, Pedro was preceded in death by his son, Daniel Carbajal; brothers and sisters, Sixta Castro, Nieves Carbajal, Fernando (Refugia) Carbajal, Juan Carbajal; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 16, 2015, at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory, 4600 County Line Road, from 5:00pm until 8:00pm. Visitation will continue on Thursday, December 17, 2015, at St. Edward Catholic Church, 1401 Grove Avenue, 10:00am until 11:00am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 on Thursday with Rev. Allen Bratkowski officiating. Burial will be held on Monday, December 21, 2015, 1:00pm, at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
The family would like to say “Thank You” to Dr. Mullane and his staff, the staff at WFH-All Saints Hospice, and Robert in ICU for the care given to Pedro during this difficult time.
