Deborah A. Nielsen, 62, passed away at All Saints Hospital, on Saturday, May 7, 2016. She was born in Racine on April 12, 1954, the daughter of the late Joseph and Dorothy (nee: Boldus) Daams.
On January 5, 1974, in St. John Nepomuk Church, she was united in marriage to Thomas “Chopper” Nielsen, who preceded her in death on May 20, 2010. Mrs. Nielsen had been employed by Rainfare and later by Mitch and Marty’s Citgo.
Surviving are her children, T.J. (Tina) Nielsen, Leah Nielsen, all of Racine, Troy (Angela Reynolds) Nielsen, of Scandinavia, WI; grandchildren, J.T. Nielsen, Nolan Nielsen, Oscar Nielsen, and Eva Reynolds; brother, Greg (Rorie) Daams, sisters, Paulette (Richard) Hansen, and Bernadette (Dennis) Longo, all of Racine County. Her nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive her. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Nielsen was preceded in death by her brother, Bruce Daams.
Visitation will be held in the funeral home on Friday, May13th, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with service to be held immediately after, Janice Navarro A.I.M. officiating. Burial will take place on Saturday May 14th, at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Cross Cemetery Hwy32. The family has suggested memorials to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation.
