Racine – Helen Josephine (nee: Infusino) Erbe, age 88, passed away peacefully at Wheaton Franciscan – All Saints Medical Center on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 surrounded by the love of her family.
Helen was born in Racine on March 22, 1928 to the late Emil and Mary (nee: Presta) Infusino. She met her future husband, Lester R. Erbe while working at Webster Electric. They were married at St. Lucy Catholic Church on April 17, 1948. Lester preceded Helen in death on September 21, 2004.
Helen was a lifetime member of St. Lucy Catholic Church where she was a proud member of the Altar Society. She was an exceptional cook, excellent dancer and avid gardener. Helen also enjoyed playing cards – having been a member of a card club for over 50 years. Above all, she loved spending time with her family.
Surviving are her devoted children, Thomas Erbe, Mary (Scott) Zierten and Paul Erbe; beloved grandchildren, Zachary Lovdahl and Tara Lovdahl; niece and dedicated caregiver, Lisa (Chris) Yeagle; other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Helen was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Carmella Borel, Mike Infusino, Rose Platt, Louis Infusino, George Infusino, Henry Infusino, John Infusino and Dorothy Infusino; and brothers-in-law, Harvey Erbe and Ernest Erbe.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. St. Lucy Catholic Church, 3101 Drexel Avenue, with Rev. Ronald J. Gramza officiating. Entombment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum. A luncheon will follow. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Monday from 5:00 – 7:00 pm and in the church on Tuesday from 10-11 am.
