Miller's FlowersMOUNT PLEASANT – Tara M. Stolzoff, 22, passed away surrounded by her family at her home on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 after fighting Rhabdomyosarcoma, a very rare form of cancer.
Tara was born in Freeport, Il on September 2, 1994, the daughter of Steven and Denise (nee: Nath) Stolzoff. She graduated from JI Case High School in 2013 and recently attended Globe University in Madison.
Tara was an exceptional person who touched the lives of everyone she met. She leaves a lasting impression and will be remembered for her care of others as well as of animals, and for never letting her illness affect her outlook on life. She loved long walks in nature, riding her bicycle and participating in cancer walks and Relay for Life.
In addition to her loving parents, Steve and Denise Stolzoff of Mount Pleasant she is survived by her brothers, Devan Stolzoff of Racine and Seth Stolzoff of Mount Pleasant; her grandparents, Donald and Wilma Nath of Freeport, IL; her aunts and uncles, Diane (Dale) Bolton of Hamilton, IL, Donald (Barbara) Stolzoff of Atlanta, GA, David (Angela) Stolzoff of Sterling, IL, Teri (Steve) Helm of Homewood, IL; Rona Stolzoff of Sterling, IL; as well as many cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Donald and Veronica Stolzoff and her cousin, Kristen Helm.
Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 for a time to visit with her family from 4-6 p.m. A service celebrating Tara’s life will follow at 6:00 p.m. A private interment will take place in Freeport, IL. In lieu of flowers, contributions for a memorial in Tara’s name to be established later would be greatly appreciated.
The Stolzoff family extends a heartfelt thank you to the entire staff at Froedtert Hospital and Hospice Alliance for the professional and loving care that Tara received while under their care.

I was a friend and classmate of Tara’s while we were both attending Globe University. I am so sorry for your loss. Tara was a truly lovely person and always gave me the encouragement I needed when I was having problems in class even when I felt like giving up. I will miss her greatly. My prayers are with your family.
