Miller's FlowersCALEDONIA – Mr. Alan P. Anderson, Sr., 72, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, October 14, 2016.
He was born in Racine on February 28, 1944, the son of the late Wallace and Cathryn (nee: Pier) Anderson. On February 23, 1963 he married Mary Lou Schwelitz. She preceded him in death on April 3, 2003.
Alan worked as a truck driver for many years at Consolidated Freight Ways.
He will be deeply missed by many friends, Jim and Lisa Tornoe, Wade and Angie Hansen, his morning coffee buddy Dennis and Patty Wertman, and so many others ,the Country Pump crowd and his garage entourage.
He had an uncanny knack for storytelling, a listening ear, and a helping hand.
He is survived by his daughters, Debra (David) Bergevain of Racine, Terrie (Mike) Park of Madison; his son, Alan (Penny) Anderson, Jr.; his grandchildren, Nicole (Jay Theiry) Bergevain, David (Cara) Bergevain, Jr., Samantha (Gary) Hillman, Jacob, Eric and Nathan Wolfman, Stacy Hill; his great grandchildren, Ayden Rattle, Aaron Thiery, Gary Lee Hillman, Sawyer May Hillman; as well as other extended family and friends.
Family and friends are invited tom meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Saturday, October 22, 2016 for a visitation from 11:00 a.m. until noon. A service celebrating and honoring his life will follow at noon.
