Donald L. Bedford made his transition from this life to eternal life on Sunday, November 6, 2016, at the age of 73. He was born to the union of John Wesley and Minnie Mae Bedford on September 7, 1943, in Maben, Mississippi.
Donald retired from J.I. Case in 1998 after 34 years of service. He leaves to cherish his precious memories, one daughter, Dedre (Tshombe) Harris of Yokosuka, Japan, one grandchild, Nina Kai Harris; four brothers, Tommie Bedford of Milwaukee, Joe (Verline) Bedford, John (Mary) Bedford of Racine, and Robert Bedford of Radford, VA; three sisters, Minnie Varnado of Fayetteville, NC, Mary Jeffries and Maybelle (James) Easley of Racine; one sister-in-law, Shirley Bedford of Racine, and a host of other relatives and friends too numerous to mention. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Wesley and Odell Bedford; sisters, Lorene Cobb, Martha Louise Bedford and Pearlie Mae Bedford.
The celebration of Donald’s life will be held on Thursday, 17 November 2016, 11:00 a.m. at Greater Mount Eagle Baptist, 929 State Street, Racine, WI 53404 with Pastor Keith T. Evans officiating. Visitation will be 10-11am before the service.
