Miller's FlowersRacine – Norma V. Hansen, age 97, passed away peacefully at The Villa at Lincoln Park on Saturday, December 31, 2016.
Norma was born in Racine on September 5, 1919 to the late Soren Christian and Marie (nee: Tvorup) Hansen. She received her education from Kenosha schools. On November 23, 1940 in Racine, she was united in marriage with the love of her life, Clarence K. Hansen, who preceded her in death on January 9, 2004.
Norma and Clarence lived in Racine until 1977 when they retired up to Eagle River. They returned to Racine in 1990. She was a longtime member of Pentecost Evangelical Lutheran Church where she had been active with the Ruth Circle. Among her interests, she enjoyed cooking, baking, hosting gatherings and entertaining.
Surviving are her children, William (Kathleen) Hansen and Cheryl (Thomas) Bielefeldt; grandchildren, Rick (Flavia) Hansen, Mary (Gary) Clark, Caroline Wee, Naomi Bielefeldt and Timothy Hansen; step-grandchildren, Kim, Robert and Donna; great-grandchildren, Noah, Hanna, Naham, Molly and Corin; sister, Betty Mollerskov; special friend (of whom was like a daughter), Margie (Malcolm) Boon; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Norma was preceded in death by her brothers, Anker, James (Ethel) and Gordon (Lillian) Hansen; and sisters, Esther (Gus) Gustav and Helen (Bob) Tobias.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 6, 2017 at 11:00 am in Pentecost Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2213 Coolidge Avenue, with Rev. Luke Jacob officiating. Private interment will take place in West Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be in the church on Friday from 10:00 – 11:00 am.
