Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Richard of Chichester Catholic Church, 1503 Grand Ave. on Saturday, July 14th, at 10:00 a.m., with her cousin, Msgr. George Thomas Gajdos officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and in the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Entombment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum Hwy 32.

Kathryn “Kay” M. Holton, 75, passed away, peacefully, at her residence on Thursday, July 5, 2018. She was born in Kenosha on November 14, 1942, the daughter of the late Michael and Veronica (nee: Machalik) Gajdos.
On May 26, 1962, in St. Edward Catholic Church, she was united in marriage to Charles E. Holton, who preceded her in death on March 3, 2002. Kay had been employed by the Racine Unified School District for over 25 years; last working at Schulte School in Sturtevant. She was a member of St. Lucy Catholic Church, was an avid reader, former bowler, loved taking care of her family, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are her children, Cheryl (Shane) Heyel, of Racine, Charles “Scott” (Pat) Holton, of Lake Villa, IL, and Lorie Demuysere, of Reno, NV; five grandchildren, Jessica (Zachariah) Hill, Rachael (Kyle) McGaughey, Phillip Charles Uebe, Michael Demuysere, and Nathaniel Holton; five great grandchildren, Dameon, Marlie, Brayden, Xander, and Phillip-Carson; two sisters and a brother, Ronnie (Garry) Anderson, of Lake Mills, WI, and Sue (Tom) Griffiths, Michael ( Barbara) Gajdos, all in AZ; sisters-in-law, Jeanene Holton, of Racine, and Charlene Moorhead, in CA. Her nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive her. In addition to her parents and beloved husband, Kay was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Marian and Bryan Aller, father-in-law, Elmer Holton and mother-in-law, Estelle Geyer, brother-in-law Robert Holton, and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Ronald Richards.

I am so sorry to hear of Kay’s passing. We worked together on attendance at Schulte School for many years. She often spoke proudly about her family and I know she will be greatly missed by you all.
