Panama City Beach, FL – David J. Aschauer, age 62, passed away unexpectedly, yet peacefully in his sleep, on Thursday, February 7, 2019.
Dave was born in Burlington, WI on September 14, 1956 to Glenn and Josephine (nee: Magray) Aschauer. He was employed from 2001 until 2014 at Meridian Group Properties. On November 11, 2005 at their home at 2100 Ashland Avenue in Racine, he was united in marriage with Katherine A. Edgerly. The wedding was attended by Dave & Kathy’s parents and was officiated by Judge Dennis J. Barry.
Among his interests, Dave enjoyed riding his bicycle, mastering the game of Solitaire, watching TV – especially NASCAR & old westerns, was an accomplished jack of all trades; hunting, cookouts & camp fires at his trailer in Merrillan, WI; and traveling with Kathy in retirement. Above all, Dave loved spending time with his entire family.
Surviving are his loving wife, Kathy; father & mother, Glenn & Jo Aschauer; daughter, Angela (Efrain) Toner; grandchildren, Isaiah, Giovanni and Brycen; brother, John (Debbie) Aschauer; sisters, Mary Aschauer (Dean Durkee), Amy Schwarz and Jody (David) Steinke; mother-in-law, Nancy Edgerly; brother-in-law, Gary (Christine) Edgerly; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends. Dave was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Aschauer; and father-in-law, Herman Edgerly.
