Service Details
His funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Friday, May 17th, at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Roman Stikel officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In keeping with John’s wish, cremation will follow.

John Patrick Markin, age 61, passed away, unexpectedly, at his residence on Friday, May 10, 2019. He was born in Reedsburg, WI on February 25, 1958, the son of the late Raymond A. and Norma M. (nee: Harrison) Markin.
On May 5, 1990, in the First Methodist Church-Kenosha, he was united to Paula Jean Myers. Mr. Markin had been employed by Carthage College for over 25 years, until retiring in August of 2017, due to illness. He enjoyed golfing, and was an avid Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears, and Boston Bruins fan. Mr. Markin enjoyed being with the family and his furry companion Drizzle.
Surviving are his beloved wife, Paula; their three children, James Markin, Raymond Markin, and Ashley Markin, all of Kenosha; three sisters, Christine (Timothy) Drewery, of Pleasant Prairie, Annette Markin, of Kenosha, and Lois Anne (Eric) Webster, of New York City, NY; two brothers, Arthur (Christine) Markin, and Donald Markin, all of Kenosha; brother-in-law, Kim Myers, of Kenosha; and sister-in-law, Pam (Tom) Aiello, of Delevan, WI. Mr. Markin is furthered survived by his nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Norma.

John was always such a friendly, good guy – even as a Bears and Cubs fan! We used to enjoy joking about that back when we would all get together for holidays and such. He will be missed. Condolences to my sister-in-law Paula and the entire family.
