A celebration of Johnny’s life and homegoing will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2019, 11:00am, at Lakeview Church of Christ, 3224 Wright Avenue. Visitation will be from 10:00am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery.

Racine – Johnny Lee Griffin, 69, received the promise of eternal life on Tuesday, November 19, 2019. He was born in Philip, MS, on August 16, 1950, son of the late Booker T. Griffin, Sr. and Carrie Mae (Née: Anderson) Griffin.
Johnny worked for AMC in Kenosha for 30 years until his retirement when he was 48 years old. He loved taking walks and playing basketball. Johnny was a volunteer for the democratic party and served his party during many elections. He was a member of Lakeview Church of Christ and worked in the food pantry on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Johnny’s favorite times were spent with his family and friends.
Johnny leaves to cherish his memory, his brothers, Ira Griffin, Michael Griffin, Edward Griffin, Lou “Archie” Griffin, Frank Griffin; sisters, Maria Anderson, Mary Anderson; special friends, Gloria Thomas, Winnie and Emmitt McGhee, Fernesta Henley; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Johnny is preceded in death by his brothers, Booker T. Griffin, Jr., Perry Griffin, Angelon Griffin, William Griffin, Kenny Griffin; sisters, Mary Reynolds, Charlene Mumford; aunts, Susie Anderson, and Ella D. Anderson.
