In keeping with Henry’s wish a private service was held.
Henry L. Bonn, 71, passed away peacefully, at his residence, on Friday, February 7, 2020. He was born in Kenosha on July 5, 1948 the son of the late Norbert and Coletta (nee: Myers) Bonn.
Henry was a graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School and Gateway Technical College. He served his country with the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War earning the Combat Medic Award, six Air Medals, Valorous Unit Award, Meritorious Unit Citation, the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Badge with three stars, and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm. Henry had been employed by the Macwhyte Company for over 25 years, retiring in 1999. He was a member of the Kenosha Moose Lodge #286, and the Deutscher Manner Verein.
Surviving are his son, William (Michelle) Bonn; daughter, Christine (Peter) Bora and grandchildren Maddy, Gage, Alex and Aris. brother, Anthony (Patricia) Bonn, all of Kenosha; nephew, Marc Bonn, of Chicago; nieces, Susan (Thomas) Kratowicz, and Sandra (David) Barrow, all of Kenosha, great nephews, Ryan and Justin Bonn; and great niece, Kate Kratowicz. In addition to his parents, Henry was preceded in death by his grandson, Sam, stepfather, Leonard Lund, and brother, Norbert “Butch” Bonn. Will be missed by his grand puppies Princess and Dutchess.
