Dear family of Sue,
As Sue once told me of the passing of her beloved mother Alma Withey, ” she left a huge hole I often fall into”.
I feel that way now. She was my babysitter, a frequent support during the confusion of my senior year at Kemper Hall ( my only year), and a great mentor when I was on the Kemper Hall Alumnae Board.
She and husband Chuck had a secret garden behind the house on 3rd Avenue- a delight to the senses at every turn. I loved that about her- down-to-earth, practical yet witty with a dry sense of humor.
Kemper Hall reunions won’t be the same without you Sue.
