To All of Jerry’s Families, It’s alway’s sad to see a friend has gone to the other side. I liked Jerry, and have a fun story about him. I was kind of In charge of getting the company property put on trucks, and transferred to Mauston. It wasn’t really my job, I think I got elected by default.? One day the Blue Angels Show Team was practicing for the weekend show by the Lake. As they practiced, they came close to Dumore. A BUNCH of people decided to go onto the roof through a passage on the 4th floor, and stand on the roof, and watch. At about the same time, the NEW President of the company wanted to take a tour of the other 3 floors, not including the office, of which most were on the roof. I had to take him on the tour, and we did the 4th floor, which was empty, and went down to the 3 floor, and we were In the empty part of what was assembly, and I thought OH NO, how do I distract him.? So I said, “Hey come over here, and look at these neat jets” and we stood by the window for a little bit, and he started to walk toward the shipping room, which was still working. When we got to Shipping, I was HAPPY as a little kid, because who was working away, but Jerry Shelmedine. I think he saved my life.? That was Jerry though. Alway’s did his best. Great Guy, and I’m terribly sorry he Is gone.

Jerry & I were adversaries at Lower Dutch Creek school, where he taunted me as a “dumb Catholic”.
But in February of 1959 we “escaped” Dutch Creek valley together to venture to Racine & jobs @ Belle City Foundry.
We became housemates, along with my cousin Peter, who later became Jerry’s BIL
via Jerry’s sister Barbara.
While I served USN @ Charleston, SC, Jerry served USA nearby, in GA, as I recall.
The last time I saw my friend Jerry was late 70s when he, LeeAnn, family & friends dropped by our recently acquired farm N of Wausau, enroute from Eau Claire back to Racine.
I regret that I was remiss in connecting with Jerry & Family until too late.
Tempus fugit. Memento mori!
Time flies. Remember death.
RIP JERRY!
GOD Bless his soul; may his family & friends be blessed as well & comforted with fond memories.

Jerry RIP Brother in Law. I remember when we entered our freshman year at Bangor High School. In 1952. We had many good times, in school. We both entered the military service. You in the US Army, and me in the US Navy. After service. We both wound up working together at AMC in Kenosha. We lived together with several other young batchelor friends. That is where I met your sister Suzanne. And wound up marrying her.

I knew Jerry in the early 70s, we worked the shipping department at Dumore together…well with Dave Johnson, Mark Johnson, Gary Issacson and Joe Schmitz. We all got along great. Jerry invited me over one Friday for his fish on the BBQ, I still use his methods for cooking them. Happened to see something on TV that reminded me of him, hence my entry. Researched him on Google and am sorry to hear he has passed.
