Charles W. Eder, 77, passed away at his residence on January 6, 2021, surrounded by the love of his family.  He was born in Ashland, WI, on September 24, 1943, son of the late Raymond and Caroline (Née: Bay) Eder.

Charles was united in marriage to the former Teresa Kaczmarek on February 14, 2001.

Right after high school, Charles came to Racine. He worked for a few different companies before landing at Harris Metals for the rest of his working career and retired in 2014. Some of his favorite hobbies included fishing, working on cars, and watching sports.  Charles was a family man and greatly enjoyed his children and grandchildren, having a unique and special bond with each one of them.   During his retirement, he devoted most of his time to his grandchildren.  He was a strong man of faith and was always available for Godly council and prayer. He will be greatly missed.

Charles leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Teresa Eder; children, Tami (Dean) Rast, Brant Eder, Robert (Karen) Eder, and Juliana Gwin; grandchildren, Rachel Rast, Brad Rast, Charlee Gwin, Ivy Gwin and Calvin Gwin; siblings, Kathleen Witt, Robert (Mary Ellen) Eder, Carol (Roy) Osborn; and a whole host of others we would wish to name among extended family and friends that he held so dear.

In addition to his parents, Charles is preceded in death by his siblings, Rodney Eder, and Floyd Eder.

A celebration of Charles’s life will be held on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, 11:00am, at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory.  Visitation for the public will be from 10:00am until the time of the service.  Due to the pandemic, the attendance at the service will be limited to 25 people.

June 2, 2018

Dear Langendorf Family,

There are no words to describe how thankful and loved we felt during our Grandpa’s funeral service. We are so lucky to know you as friends and we will be forever grateful for everything you have done for us and for Grandpa Mario throughout his lifetime and after his death. He loved you all and enjoyed sharing so many great times with you in the barbershop and as neighbors. Please accept our heartfelt thanks for all your caring ways and thoughtfulness and extend our appreciation to all at the funeral home who made Mario’s service so memorable.
