A private celebration of life will take place.

Wuanita Ann Bowen passed away peacefully on August 7, 2021 to be with the Lord at the age of 83.
Wuanita A (Youngblood) Bowen born in Onalaska, WI on June 15, 1938 grew up in Bangor, WI later moving to Racine, WI..then Sturtevant ,WI.
Preceded in death by her mother and father, Lucille (nee: Dohve) and William Youngblood; sisters, Mary Salisbury & Alice Briwick; three sons, Richard M. “Ricky”, John C. & Gerald L. and her daughter, Terri L (Bowen) Sammons.
Lovingly remembered by her daughters, Sharon K (Bowen) Bean & C. June (Bowen) (Steve) Brahm and her sister, Judith “Judy” (Mike) Kolstad; grandchildren, Joshua (Heide) Bowen, Matt (Samantha) Sammons, Tim (Melissa) Swanson, Stephanie (Russell) Rediske, Christopher Bean, Katrina (Gary) Poetz, Marshall (Natalie) Brahm, Nicholas (Amber) Bowen, Jessi (Ari) Christiansen, Taylor Bowen, Cassandra Bowen; great-grandchildren, Dylan,Trevor, William, Evan, Hayden, McKayla, Brielle, Cheyenne, Allison, Brooke, Hunter, Anabelle, Ava, Alexis, Allison & April; many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Wuanita loved watching wrestling, reading books, adult coloring and dot to dot books, enjoyed making her signature sunbuckles for the family at Christmas and spending time with family when she could. She supported Faith Lutheran Church in Sturtevant where she has been a member since 1965.

Love and hugs for the family. I sure will miss Aunt Wuanita and her fabulous sunbuckles…she gave me the recipe, needless to say mine did not look or taste like hers. She put her whole heart into those sunbuckles.

Aunt Wuanita,was very special to me,I spent a lot. Of time at there house in sturdavent, Everytime I’d see her she would always remind me that she took my bottle away from me cause .my mom couldn’t…lol love her…love Lori

Mrs Bowen was a great mentor in my life. She kept me in the church and her heart and soul was in every song she had us sing in the Faith Lutheran Church youth choir
She will be greatly missed
