A private service and interment with Military Honors will take place at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove.

STURTEVANT – Mr. Donald Graves, 88, passed away at Accent Care IPC in Oak Creek on April 7, 2022.
Don was born in Oakfield, WI on May 19, 1933, the son of the late Myron and Mildred (nee Welch) Graves. He graduated from William Horlick High School in 1951. He then served his nation with the US Army just after the Korean Armistice Agreement was signed.
Don worked for SC Johnson Wax for 40 years. He was able to enjoy 30 years of retirement. Don enjoyed his free time bowling, golfing, vacations in Florida and being in the company of his family.
In addition to his loving wife Edna (nee Bislew), Don is survived by his daughters and son, Jane Graves of Minneapolis, Don (Lucy) Graves of Wind Lake, WI, Candace (Adrian) Whidden of St. Petersburg, FL.; his grandchildren, Adam, Annicka, Noelle, Charlotte and Claudia; his sisters and brother, Joyce Van Valzah of Milwaukee, Delores Kelley of Fond du lac, WI and Michael (Catherine) Graves of Plant City, FL; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his brothers-in-law, William Van Valzah and Norbert Kelley.

A heartfelt thank you to the nurses and staff at Ascension All Saints, Seasons Hospice, and Lakeshore at Siena for the loving and professional attention Don received while under their care.

We’ve known Don since sister Edna brought him to our house while they were dating. Over the decades, we’ve laughed, argued, reminisced, and sometimes agreed to disagree. Many fond memories of Don and my big brother Jack.
I was the little guy on the 3 man ski behind Don’s boat on the Fox River in the 50’s. I remember those beautiful new cars he always had.
