The Celebration of Her Life will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2022, 11:00am in the chapel of Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home, 4600 County Line Rd., Racine, WI. Visitation will be in the chapel from 10:00am until the time of service.

Petals by FeliciaRacine, WI – Lucille (nee: Roscoe) Hood, age 80, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2022, in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin. She was born December 7, 1941, to Albert Roscoe and Dessierea (Upchurch) Roscoe in Drew, Mississippi. Lucille Hood received her education Lumbody Elementary School in Drew, Mississippi. Lucille accepted Christ at the early age of twelve years old at Pilgrim Rest Baptist church in Drew, Mississippi. When she relocated to Racine, Wisconsin, she moved her membership to Holy Disciple under Reverend Scaife. She later became a member of Shekinah Glory Worship Center where she served on the Mother Board.
Lucille was united in Holy Matrimony to L. H. Hood in Drew, Mississippi. Out of this union, three boys were born: Lyndon Baines Hood, Larry Hood, and Willie James Hood.
Lucille was a loving and giving person. She was willing to help anybody in need. She worked for a number of years as a caregiver freely for anyone who needed her. She also worked for Pinkerton Security in Chicago, Illinois, for a number of years. She was also employed at Maple Leaf Farms in Racine, Wisconsin.
In her leisure time she enjoyed reading the Bible and quoting scripture from the Bible. She also enjoyed playing cards, shopping at thrift stores, and going out to dinner with the family.
Lucille was preceded in death by her father, Albert Roscoe; her mother, Dessiera Roscoe; her sister, Minnie McGee; and her brother, Amos Roscoe. She was also preceded in death by her sons, Clifton Roscoe, Willie James Hood, and Rodney Hood; two grandsons, Anthony LaShan Roscoe, and Frederick Jackson.
Lucille leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Annie (Robert) Hayes and Bettie Roscoe; her sons, Lyndon Hood, Larry Hood, and Danny Hood; her grandchildren, LaToya Jackson, LaCrisia Roscoe, Jessie Roscoe, Larina Wright, Sherman Pierce, Keantre Banks, Kenyatta Strong, Alexis Hood, Bradley Hood, Avianna Hood, Jessica Roscoe, Ashley L. Cheairs, Ebony Bolden, Lillian Phillips, Brandon Phillip, Daeonna Hood, Jazlyn Hood, Tony Hood, Torvette Hood, Torvell Hood, and Latoya Hood. She was also blessed with 47 greatgrandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She also leaves to cherish her memory, her brothers, William (Ora) Roscoe of Chicago, Illinois, and Albert Roscoe, Jr. of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; three sisters, Jerry Horn of Chicago, Illinois,, Dorthy Smith of New Orleans, Louisianna, and Dorris Roscoe of Racine, Wisconsin; one sister-in-law, Foreseen Hood; and one brother-in-law, Arthur Hood.

Who can forget Mrs. Lucille. She was the mother of kids who were part of the 3mc’s. Anyone who lived in Shelbourne CT is from the old school. My condolences to the Hood family. May Jehovah comfort you as you pray for strength. 2Cor 1:3,4
