On August 18, 2022, Charmain’s name was called by her heavenly father and she departed this life. Charmain gained her well-deserved golden wings, and now there is no more suffering for our beloved. She was born in Decatur, IL on September 3, 1972, the daughter of the late John Lee and Dorothy Jean (nee: Sutton) Bell.
Charmain was a graduate of Washington Park High School. She had been employed by the US Postal Service and later as a school bus driver. Charmain grew up attending Greater Grace Temple. She had strong faith, which we all admired, and through her faith in our lord, she fought for nearly ten years when she was only given two until she received that faithful call home. Charmain enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, and significant other of 29 years, Kevin Rucker. She also enjoyed singing, slots, and cooking.
Charmain leaves to cherish her memories her eight children: Kevin Beck, Cedrick Beck, both of Chicago, Illinois, Latasia Miller (Carlos Butterfield), Latara (Maurice Shelton) Miller, Latrice Miller (Jeremy Lindsey), Kevario Rucker, Kemarion Rucker, Kiavonni Rucker, all of Racine, Wisconsin; brothers, Yohon Bell, of Racine, Brian Nichols, of Kansas City, MO; Grandchildren, Stazia, Sarayah, Sunai, Jamereon, Marqese, Jamya, Malasia, and Ja’Kyia all of Racine; Aunts: Ina Rae Sutton of Racine, Vinnie Cotton of Racine, Charlie Mae Bell of Racine, Annette Cotton of Racine, Darlene Bell of Kenosha; Uncles; Freeman Bell of Racine and Gary Sutton of Racine, Great Uncle, Ozell Taylor; Special Sisters: Rose, Janette, Sherri, Sheila, Erica, Marilyn, Yolonda, Tiffany, Autumn, Temisha, and Angie; and an array of loved nieces, nephews, special cousins, other relatives, and friends also survive her. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Charmain was preceded in death by her parents: John bell and Dorothy Sutton; Significant other; Kevin Rucker; Siblings, George Nichols and Kenneth D. Sutton; Grandson, Jamere Miller; as well as many beloved relatives from the Bell and Sutton family.
