I always thought of Sherri as a sister.
We were close for nearly 60 years. We shared so many good times and feelings over the years. We were always there for each other. I spent many years with the family also.
Sherri spent countless hours helping dogs find homes after Katrina.
She got on a plane and came to Florida, to be with me when I had my first cancer.
I pray she has found peace with her pets & family gone before her.
Sherri will be in my heart the rest of my life. Until we meet again.
My heart goes out to all her family.
I love you all.

John–Erin and I just found out about Sheri. We are so sad to hear. Sheri was a dear friend besides caring for her. She was always so thoughtful to us–asking about our families and about our lives. We also enjoyed listening to her stories and adventures of her life with you, her family, and of course the beautiful dogs. We still have mementos of holiday gifts that she so thoughtfully made and gave to us. We hope that the memories you and your family have of Sheri will help you through this very difficult time.

Sincerely sorry for your loss. I knew Sherri through her frequent visits to the surgery center. She was so thoughtful and I can remember her bringing us warm banana bread. I loved seeing pictures of the dogs and hearing stories of their awards and therapy visits. What a blessing! I went to see Annie in Annie!! We missed Sherri when her care was shifted to a alternate site! What a caring, passionate soul.
Desiree Davis says
Sheri was a dear friend. She Miky and I met through assisting Laura Colqutte in her Dog Training Classes at Proper Paws Unniversity. We then went on to be part of Doggoners Canine Drill Team, where we did skits to entertain residents at nursing homes and hospitals and educational seminars at schools. We then both attended GRKC together where she became a highly valued member of the club. At the end becoming Vice President with her husband John as President. Sheri was a doer and got things done no matter what she got involved in. She decided to compete in Obedience and acquired her Golden Retriever Annie. They were an amazing team. From Novice to a UD, almost all 1st places. She and Annie achieved their UD with three attempts all 1st placements. That’s almost unheard of. She was a committed friend, with Sheri in your corner you knew you were cared for a protected. I miss you Sheri. I’m so sorry for your loss John and boys.
