Services celebrating Mark’s life will be held on Monday, March 11, 2024 in Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home at 12:00 noon. Entombment, with military honors, will follow at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Monday, March 11th, from 10:00 am – 12:00 noon.

Mark Douglas Pederson, age 71, passed away peacefully at Grande Prairie Health & Rehab Center on Monday, February 19, 2024.
Mark was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota on October 14, 1952 to the late Theodore and Doris (nee: Common) Pederson. He was a 1971 graduate of JI Case High School. Mark faithfully served our country with United States Army for 9 years – having 2 tours of duty in Germany during the Vietnam War. Following, he started a career in the HVAC industry before becoming an officer at Racine Correctional Institute from where he retired 2012.
Among his interests, Mark enjoyed traveling, camping, calling Bingo and staying active with the VFW, American Legion and Vietnam Vets Chapter 767 Honor Guard.
Surviving are his children, Eric Pederson, Laura (Dennis) Smulski and Vincent (Michelle) Dabrowski; grandchildren, Tylor & Hailey Pederson, Madison Davis, Delaney Dabrowski and Zachary & Sabriona Smulski; brothers and sister, Glen (Julie) Pederson, Annette Pederson, Dave (Karen) Pederson and Rob (Heidi) Pederson; aunt, Betty Pederson; nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.
In addition to his parents, Mark was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary (nee: Cappelo) Pederson (passed away on July 17, 2023); brother, Darrel Pederson; and former wife, Judi Pederson-Cornick.
