Patricia “Pat” Althea Teresa Antoine-Norton, 63, of Racine, Wisconsin passed away on April 7, 2024. Pat was born on July 25, 1960 in Point Fortin, Trinidad to John and Cynthia (nee: Pickett) Antoine.
Affectionately nicknamed “Joy” by her parents, Patricia will be remembered as a kind and selfless woman who was always willing to serve her family, friends, church, and community. She had a heart for service and spent much of her time volunteering at her local church and as the Women’s Ministry coordinator for the Wisconsin Conference of SDA. Some of her highlights each year included her annual mission trip to Guatemala and teaching children about Jesus during Camp Meeting at Camp Wakonda.
Pat attended Caribbean Union College in Trinidad where she earned an Associate of Science degree, then transferred to Andrews University (Michigan) where she completed a B.A. in Anatomy and Physiology with a minor in Speech-Language Pathology. She was accepted into the first class of Physical Therapists at Andrews and graduated with a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy on June 5, 1988. That same day she married her husband, James.
Patricia practiced as a PT in New Jersey, Michigan, Minnesota, and Indiana before relocating to Racine in 1998. In Racine, she worked as a physical therapist in the Atrium (Ascension) for 25 years. It was here she fostered her love for teaching by serving as a clinical instructor for UW-Milwaukee. In 2009 she was named the Clinical Instructor of the Year by the Wisconsin chapter of the APTA.
In her free time Pat enjoyed singing, reading, arts and crafts, and making her infamous curry, scones, and guacamole to share with her loved ones.
Pat is survived by her loving husband, James; their two children, Joel and Janelle; mother, Cynthia; brother, Roger; her nieces, nephews, other relatives – through blood and through faith – and countless friends.

“…My prayer for you is this: Don’t give up. Keep persevering. Always have a positive attitude and outlook. Rely on God. Trust in His plan and timing. Study His Word and God will bless you each day in Him.” – ‘A Testimony’ by Patricia Antoine-Norton (March 2019)

Condolence’s to the Antoine-Norton family. My thoughts and prayers are with her and all her love ones, friends and PT staff as well. In the past, Pat helped me with PT services that extended to a better daily life so I could continue at a level of comfort again. She ministered her faith in Christ to me on many difficult physical days of therapy. At the end of my PT sessions, I returned to my daily duties not only feeling better but spiritually better. I pray our Lord bless all her love ones with peace, rest and comfort during the future days ahead.

Pat is with her God and savior in the kingdom of heaven.
I had the privilege to be a patient of Pat’s in past years, and from there, our friendship grew. She was a blessing to me and all those people she helped through out her years on this earth. It is sad that she can no longer be here, but I will always cherish all that she shared with me.
She was a true inspiration.
A true believer. An example of what faith can do. Love you Pat! Until we see each other again.
Your hugs were the best!

Pat was an amazing woman. First met Pat at Ascension (Wheaton) many years ago and serviced on the mission team together. She was always willing to help and volunteer with any project. She had such a huge passion for giving back to her community and co-workers. I am a better person for her kind and wise words. We shared many laughs and stories about our kids. She will be missed by many, but I will hold her smile and kindness close to my heart. Thank you, Pat, for “You.”

My sweet friend and co-worker Pat. I cannot believe you’re gone. You were so much of a support to me and my family. When ever one of us had a therapy need we knew to check with Pat to see what she had to say or could do. When I had my fall/injury you were right there tending to me and trying to calm me through the pain. When I lost my son you were right there to support me and every morning I could wake to your encouraging words and Bible scripture. You were an angel amongst us and your departure leaves a deep void in me and many. Thank you Pat for your love and friendship. Until we meet again I will always miss you 💕

To the family and friends who love Pat so dearly;
We who had the privilege of knowing her these last several years, as we loved/treated/cared for the people in Guatemala with her, will miss her dearly, as you do.
The “Joy of the Lord” that poured out from her was a balm to us…all around her felt this – her love and care for us, her love of God.
Her sweetness, humility, kindness are things I’ll always remember about her. And, the way she could “calm a storm” with her magnificent voice…I can hear it now.
May all of you feel the Lord’s peace and protection during this difficult time.
Wendy (formerly Anderson) Sandberg says
Pat was one of the most amazing women I have ever had the privilege of knowing. She and I started at All Saints on the same day in 1999. She was an incredible mentor to me during the 6 years I worked there. I used to dread treating patients with neck pain and headaches until she taught me so many incredible techniques and because of her, it is a large portion of what I do 25 years later! She had a healing touch of an angel. You could FEEL instant healing the minute she rested her hands on you. She carried out God’s work and message everyday and truly had the kindest soul of anyone I have ever met. She will be missed beyond words. My thoughts and prayers of peace to her family during this difficult time.

My sincere condolences to the family, Pat was my Physical Therapist for many years before I moved to MS. We prayed together, and cried on each other’s shoulders. Pat was an Angel, she loved everybody, you can have the worst day, you go see Pat in PT, she will turn that frown into a smile, you forgot about your whole situation.
I am going to really miss Pat.

Over the last 20 years, I would turn to Pat for my physical therapy needs. Since this past November she worked very hard to help me walk again after a nasty accident. Pat motivated me to get out of my wheelchair and walk again. The last time I saw Pat she told me my ankle was a miracle. I’m now walking with a cane, Thank you Pat.
Pat adored her family and was so proud of her children. She was funny and inspiring. And very direct when needed.
I adored Pat and will miss her.

I was so shocked to hear of Pats passing. She was my Physical Therapist last fall and gave me great relief from my pain. I enjoyed all the chats we had and how nice she was! She had so much life to live yet. Very sad to see she passed. I also work here at Ascension. She will be missed.
