Service Details
Her funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, May 1st at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Entombment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery Hwy 32.
The family would like to thank the staffs of the Ridgewood Care Center, Ascension-All Saints, Hospice Alliance, and the South Shore Fire Dept., for their loving care of Jeanne.

Miller's FlowersJeanne Pauline Bergemann, 102, passed away in the Ridgewood Care Center, on Friday, April 26, 2024. She was born in Sault Ste. Marie, MI, on March 9, 1922, the daughter of the late Wilfred and Eva (nee: Contois) Castonguay. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, caring grandmother and great-grandmother, and friend to many.
She came to Racine at the age of seven. Mrs. Bergemann was a 1940 graduate of Washington Park High School, where she played the French Horn in the marching band. On October 14, 1950, in Holy Name Catholic Church, she was united in marriage to Joseph A. Bergemann, who preceded her in death on January 19, 2014. She had been employed as an administrative assistant by the Dumore Corporation, the J.I. Case Co., and Wick Photo Center as a bookkeeper, which was owned by her best friends, Ray and Irene Wick.
Mrs. Bergemann was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, numerous garden and Bridge clubs. In addition to her gardening, and playing Bridge, she enjoyed sewing, working crossword puzzles, entertaining, and traveling.
Surviving are her three daughters, Carole (Robert) Pirk, of Racine, Joanne (Robert) Huebner, of Greenville, SC, and Anne (John) Cejka, of Chesterfield, VA; seven grandchildren, Robert, Nicole (Brian), Laurie, Allison (Chris), Brandi, Timothy (Destiny), and Alex; plus her three great-grandchildren, Aisling, Sutton, Blakely, and soon to arrive, Charlie. In addition to her parents, and beloved husband, Mrs. Bergemann was preceded in death by her sister, Delores Den Hartigh and her husband, other beloved members of the Bergemann family, and many close friends.
