Memorial Suggestions
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Lutheran Church of the Redeemer (2417 Drexel Ave Racine, WI 53403) have been suggested.
Eileen A. Stuebe, 87, passed away Saturday, May 4, 2024, peacefully at home in Racine, WI with her family by her side, after a sudden and short battle with cancer. Eileen was born February 14, 1937 in Racine WI, to Otto and Anna (Nee: Gauruder) Sorensen. She was united in marriage to Thomas R. Stuebe at Lutheran Church of the Redeemer on June 29, 1957.
Eileen kept a very busy schedule with friends, dog grooming, various physical activities, church, and of course her family. Eileen was a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker, Sunday School teacher, and ran her own business as a dog groomer, never retiring and working until her final days. She loved caring for her furry friends and connecting with their humans regularly. Eileen had many hobbies; golfing, bowling, lunch dates, gatherings with friends, and taking care of her family. She was the best cleaner/organizer one could ever meet! She greatly enjoyed it and was always the first to help family and friends whenever needed. She was truly the family matriarch, her grandchildren still regularly seeking guidance and wisdom from her many years of life. She deeply missed her husband and soulmate these last 16 months and was looking forward to seeing “her boyfriend” again in heaven. Eileen will be remembered for being a friend to all; caring, loving, hard-working, genuine, and leaving her imprint on more people than one can count.
Eileen will be dearly missed by her children, Wendy (Terry) Lail, Tim (Kim) Stuebe, grandchildren Melissa (Adam) Pratt, Sarah (Brian) Cunningham, Julie Lail, and great grandchildren, Peyton, Taylor, and Devon, and the newest addition, Eilee Cunningham. Sister-in law Carol St. James, brother-in-law, Lee Mohrbacher, dear nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many dear friends. In addition to her husband, parents, and sisters, Eileen was also preceded in death by her three brothers-in-law and sister-in-law.
The family extends our heartfelt thanks to the many nurses through Aurora Hospital and Cindy & Jasmine with Hospice Alliance for their compassionate and thorough care.

Thoughts and prayers go out to the family during this difficult time.
My heart just sank when I heard my favorite special lady had passed. She was such a happy go lucky person and I am glad she touched my life in so many ways. Being the softball Mom, always lending an ear when needed and taking care of Brandi when she got scruffy and needed a cut. She would always take the time to reassure you when times were tough. She was so, so special to all of us. Those sparkling eyes and that contagious smile as well as her laughter. She could always make you laugh no matter the day! She always made you think about the brighter side of life, even though some days were pretty tough. She always had a funny story to tell. She will be truly missed, but her memories will live on in my heart as I will remember her always. God Speed, Darlin’ I love you and miss you immensely. Until we meet again at that bowling alley or softball diamond in the sky. R.I.P. Eileen
