Homegoing Services celebrating Willie’s life will be held in Christ Chapel MBC (815 Park Avenue in Racine) on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 11:00 am with Rev. T.L. Howell officiating. Viewing will be in the church on Saturday from 10-11 am. Private interment will take place in West Lawn Memorial Park on Monday.
New Albany, MS (formerly of Racine) – Willie Edd Robbins, Jr., age 61, passed away at Baptist Memorial Hospital in New Albany, MS on Monday, August 5, 2024.
Wille was born in Racine, WI on March 7, 1963 to Willie Edd Robbins, Sr. and Theresa (nee: Ford) Robbins. He was a 1981 graduate of JI Case High School where he was a decorated track star. Following, he moved to continue his education at Mississippi State. Willie was married to Lovie Elaine (nee: Rucker) Robbins for over 25 years until her passing on July 25, 2021.
Willie was a talented furniture craftsman – mainly for BenchCraft / Ashley Furniture. Among his interests, he was accomplished in the sport of Tae Kwon Do and proudly earned his black belt in Karate. Above all, Willie loved being together with his entire family and extensive circle of friends.
Surviving are his mother, Theresa Robbins; brothers & sisters, James Robbins, Iris (Fulton) Bell, Amy DeLeon, Kasey (Kali) Robbins, Clorice Robbins, Perione (Jenny) Robbins, Robert Robbins, Kevionna Robbins and Shaquille (Jackie) Robbins; aunties, Betty (Bobby) Baldon and Maxine Sanders; special cousin, Dewey Baldon; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his father and wife, Willie was preceded in death by his brothers-in-law, Jose DeLeon and Rev. Mark Gates.

I was so saddened to hear of Willie’s passing and i would like to send my most heartfelt prayers and condolences to the Robbins, Holton, and Baldon families. Willie was my best friend growing up for years we were inseparable. Were you saw one you usually saw the other. We could talk about anything and shared everything. A true partner and best friend.
